Daniel runs Sisu as the sole founder and acts as the GC on every build. There are no layers between him and the buyer.
That’s the headline. The longer version starts in Colombia, runs through a heavy-equipment yard in Tabasco and a building-materials store in Tulum, and lands in McAllen in 2021, where Sisu has built more than ten single-family homes and developed two subdivisions in five years.
Most builders this size are run by someone who hasn’t poured a foundation in fifteen years. Daniel hasn’t gone two weeks without being on a jobsite since 2014.

Born and raised in Colombia until eighteen, Daniel moved to Mexico for university and earned his degree from Tec de Monterrey, one of the most respected business schools in Latin America. The plan, at the time, was finance. The plan changed.
Founded Grupo Arda, heavy machinery & earthwork.
His path into construction started not in a classroom but on a jobsite. Grupo Arda was a heavy-equipment rental and earthwork company serving road construction, drainage, and land development across southern Mexico. Running excavators, bulldozers, and motor graders on real civil jobs gave Daniel a feel for dirt and schedule that most builders never develop.
The lesson from those years: budgets fail at the dirt, not the finishes. Every Sisu home is priced like a job that starts with a soils report, not a Pinterest board.
Founded SICLESA, Cemex distributor & Construrama partner.
SICLESA started as a hardware and building-materials store in Tulum and grew into an official Cemex distributor and Construrama partner with more than thirty employees, with recognized standing in the Riviera Maya construction supply market. It still operates today.
Running SICLESA for years gave Daniel a working knowledge of construction materials, pricing, and supply chains that most builders never get from the buyer’s side of the counter. SICLESA stays in Mexico as its own separate company, Sisu sources domestically in Texas, but the instinct for what a material should cost and how long it should take to arrive carries into every Sisu budget.
Founded Sisu Development in the Rio Grande Valley.
In 2021 Daniel relocated to McAllen with his family and founded Sisu Development. Five years building it from zero into a recognized custom-home and spec builder in the RGV: ten-plus single-family homes personally delivered, and two subdivisions developed in Hidalgo County, including Pecan Heights, Sisu’s 14-lot modern townhome community in McAllen.
He runs Sisu as the sole founder. He’s the GC on every build, which means he’s on every jobsite every week on every project the company delivers. There are no layers between him and the buyer.
Still on the jobsite. Still signing every quote.
Year five at Sisu. Custom homes from $340K to $830K, spec townhomes from $275K, and a second subdivision in permitting for Q4 2026. The number on the business card still rings to the person on the jobsite.
